What to know before you book.
How many guests can hoshi host for a private event?
A long table in the dining room seats up to 14. The counter takes 10 and can be bought out for a single seating. Taking the whole restaurant gives you 44 seats, counter included, with the doors closed for the evening.
Can we book the omakase counter for a private party?
Yes, and it is the most interesting thing we do. One seating, 10 guests, 12 courses cut in front of you and nobody else. It works beautifully for a milestone and badly for a party that wants to move around the room, so we will ask which one you are having.
How do I book a private event?

Can you cook around allergies and diets for a whole group?
Yes. Tell us when you plan the evening and the kitchen builds around it rather than making one guest a separate plate at the last minute. Vegetarian, vegan and no-raw-fish menus are all straightforward with notice.
Do you offer set menus for a private booking?
We plan one with you — a family-style spread down a long table, a shorter counter progression, or a full omakase. It is built from the same card and the same fish as any other night, arranged for the number of people and the kind of evening you are having.
Is there space for a corporate dinner near Oyster Bay?
Yes. hoshi is at 34 Audrey Avenue in Oyster Bay, an easy drive from Locust Valley, Syosset, Glen Cove and Cold Spring Harbor. A long table seats up to 14 and a full buy-out takes 44.
