34 Audrey Avenue, on the north side of the street, in the room the village knew for years as the old Stellina Bakery. If you are walking up from the harbour it is on your right; if you are coming down from the station it is on your left, a few doors before the corner.
Three of our sister restaurants are within a short walk, which makes the block an easy place to spend an evening even before you sit down.

The Oyster Bay branch of the LIRR ends a few minutes’ walk from the door. It runs infrequently in the evening, so check the last train before you build a night around it.
A counter, not a sushi bar.
10 seats facing the person cutting, and a 34-seat room behind them ordering from the same card. The counter runs a 12-course omakase across two seatings a night; the room can do anything from a plate of nigiri to a full dinner off the grill.
There is no hibachi and there are no teppan tables. The roll list is short and mostly traditional. If a crunchy dragon roll is what the evening calls for, we will happily point you somewhere good.

Where is hoshi in Oyster Bay?

Is there parking near hoshi?
Yes. There is street parking along Audrey Avenue and a municipal lot behind the block, both free in the evening. Saturday is the busiest night on the street, so allow an extra few minutes.
Can I get there by train?
The Oyster Bay branch of the LIRR ends a few minutes’ walk away. Check the last train before you plan an evening around it — the branch runs infrequently at night and it catches people out.
What kind of sushi restaurant is it?
A counter and a small dining room rather than a large sushi bar. The counter serves a 12-course omakase across two seatings a night; the room orders from a card of sashimi, nigiri, a short roll list, robata skewers and a handful of hot dishes. It is not a hibachi restaurant and there are no teppan tables.
Is hoshi good for a special occasion?
The counter is built for one. Ten seats, courses handed straight across, and about ninety minutes that feel like an event rather than a meal. Say what the occasion is when you request the table and we will take care of it quietly.
What else is there to do in Oyster Bay first?
The harbour is a five-minute walk, Theodore Roosevelt’s Sagamore Hill is ten minutes by car, and the village itself is small enough to wander before dinner. Three of our sister restaurants are within a few hundred yards if the evening changes shape.
A note on the name: there is an unrelated restaurant called Hoshi Sushi & Hibachi in Patchogue, about an hour east. It is not connected to us, and we are not connected to it. This hoshi is the one on Audrey Avenue, part of Stellina Hospitality.
