Welcome

Accessibility.

Last updated August 2026.

We want everyone to be able to eat with us comfortably. Here is what the room is actually like, so you can judge for yourself rather than find out on the night.

In the restaurant

  • Entry is step-free from Audrey Avenue.
  • Restrooms are accessible.
  • The dining room is small by design, so spacing between tables is close. Tell us if you need extra room for a wheelchair or a walker and we will hold a table that suits.
  • The counter is a fixed-height bar with backless stools and it does not suit everyone. Nothing served there is unavailable in the dining room, so say the word when you request a table and we will seat you where the evening actually works.
  • Parking is on-street along Audrey Avenue, with a municipal lot behind the block a short walk away. Both are free in the evening.
  • Service animals are welcome.
  • Lighting is deliberately low in the evening. We keep large-print menus and a torch at the host stand — just ask.

Dietary needs and allergens

Tell us when you book and remind your server when you sit. Much of the card is made to order, a good deal of it is naturally gluten free, and we keep tamari for anyone who needs it. Our kitchen handles fish, shellfish, soy, wheat, sesame and egg, so we cannot promise an allergen-free preparation — we will always tell you honestly what we can and cannot do rather than guess.

On this website

We aim to meet WCAG 2.2 AA. In practice that means semantic headings and landmarks, visible focus states, text that meets AA contrast against its background, alternative text on meaningful images, a keyboard-usable menu, and full respect for the reduced motion setting — turn it on and the animation stops.

Accessibility is never finished. If something here gets in your way, we would genuinely like to know, and we will fix it.
